WA Cricket welcomes Tianqi Lithium Energy Australia (TLEA) as a Community Partner of the WA Cricket Foundation.
TLEA pride themselves on being an active partner in the Western Australian community with a corporate social responsibility program that focuses on improved educational opportunities.
They will be supporting the WA Cricket Foundation’s Young Women in Cricket pillar that encompasses the Confidence in Sport, Discover Cricket, Cricket Inspire, and Team Connect programs.
All of the Foundation’s Young Women in Cricket programs aim to empower the leaders of tomorrow by providing them with an opportunity to develop skills including communication and collaboration, and by building a sense of belonging in girls from diverse backgrounds.
WA Cricket’s Head of Philanthropy Carolyn Turner says both company values align which will pave the way towards a long and prosperous relationship.
“We are thrilled to have TLEA join us in our mission to reach more young women across the state, and with their help, we will be able to deliver more of our specialized programs to the Kwinana region,” Turner said.
“Across the 2021-22 season, the WA Cricket Foundation helped empower over 500 young women and girls, and with Tianqi’s support we can continue to grow that number and increase the reach of our important programs.”
“We look forward to embarking on this multi-year journey together.”
TLEA CEO Raj Surendran says they are incredibly proud to support the WA Cricket Foundation’s Young Women in Cricket pillar.
“TLEA is committed to building a lasting legacy of success for the Kwinana and Western Australian communities, and we believe that through these programs, we are enriching the lives of local young girls and their families.
“By supporting these programs, we aim to contribute to the development of essential life skills and provide opportunities for these young girls to flourish.”
