Where Every Girl Belongs

Help us empower the next generation of young women by building skills and enabling opportunities and pathways through sport.

Together we can support young women and help them on their way to building confidence, social connections, a sense of belonging and newfound opportunities they might otherwise be unable to imagine.

All programs provided under this Pillar are supported through our partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation.

Daughters & Dads

Supporting young girls and their dads or father-figures build valuable tools to grow confidence, social and emotional learning, and learn how to overcome challenges using critical thinking.

Through the program we empower young girls through connection with family and community, breaking down participation barriers for girls to take part in physical activity.

Cricket Inspire

Our Cricket Inspire program empowers high school-aged girls through the game of cricket. We use our programs to build the skills to develop personal and social responsibility and harness a sense of belonging and connectedness. Cricket Inspire comprises two different streams – Social Leaders and Emerging Leaders.

Social Leaders

As our lead program, Social Leaders empowers young women aged 12 to 14 years, some of whom are at-risk, to feel confident and connected to their local community through social and emotional learning

Our program ignites the leadership spark within young minds, guiding them through a dynamic exploration of leadership concepts and practices. Spanning 4 to 6 weeks, our flexible curriculum blends theoretical insights with hands-on activities, ensuring an engaging and transformative learning experience. Join us in shaping the leaders of tomorrow by supporting our mission to inspire and equip young women with the skills and confidence to be the best versions of themselves.

Emerging Leaders

Emerging Leaders is an immersive leadership workshop designed exclusively for young women poised to make a difference. Targeted at 15–18-year-olds, this program offers a transformative journey spanning six months. Each session, participants explore a spectrum of advanced leadership themes, from emotional intelligence to accountability and strategic decision-making. Your support fuels this invaluable opportunity, empowering a new generation of trailblazing leaders to shape tomorrow’s world.

This is a prospective pathway program for participants in our school-based Social Leaders program.

Program Partner | Team Connect

WA Cricket Foundation’s Program Partnership with Team Connect continues to thrive and we are very proud of our association. Team Connect is a community engagement program that creates links between secondary schools and local junior community cricket clubs in order to give adolescent girls the opportunity to participate in community cricket, with the aim of developing a sense of belonging and connection to school and community.

Female Pathway Development

This initiative provides bespoke learning experiences to girls and young women who have been recognised as having the potential to progress further in their cricket journey.

The Kay Leverington Scholarship was established in 2013, offering additional resources, support, and experiences to talented young female cricketers within WA.

With your support we can:

  • Invest in specialist coaches for the Female Academy
  • Provide opportunities for participants to fast-track their development and gain potential selection in State squads
  • Allocated additional resources to young women who show dedication and the potential to succeed at the highest level
