WA Cricket is proud to welcome Aurizon as a new Community Partner of the WA Cricket Foundation, supporting the Foundation’s mission to make cricket accessible, inclusive and empowering for all Western Australians.

Australia’s largest freight rail operator has pledged its support for a three-year period from 1 July 2025, with a focus on driving meaningful change across the Foundation’s three core pillars – Aboriginal Cricket, People with a Disability, and Young Women.
Aurizon’s investment will support the delivery of these programs in Geraldton and the Midwest, helping to ensure regional communities have equitable access to the benefits and opportunities cricket can provide.
WA Cricket Head of Philanthropy, Carolyn Turner said the WA Cricket Foundation is thrilled to welcome Aurizon as a Community Partner.
“Their generous three-year commitment will help us create inclusive programs and experiences that break down barriers and build stronger communities through cricket,” Ms Turner said.
“Whether it’s supporting Aboriginal communities, providing access for people with a disability, or championing young women through initiatives like our Social Leaders program, Aurizon’s support will directly benefit regional communities in Geraldton and the Midwest.”
Aurizon expressed it’s pride in supporting the Foundation.
“Aurizon is proud to support the WA Cricket Foundation and its programs in the Aboriginal Cricket, People with a Disability, and Young Women pillars across the Geraldton and mid-west regions,” a spokesperson said.
“With over 85% of our employees based in regional Australia we understand the need for regional sporting programs to ensure everyone, no matter their background or where they are from, has access to the same opportunities as those who live in metropolitan areas.”
The WA Cricket Foundation is the charitable arm of WA Cricket, established to ensure everyone in the community has the opportunity to experience the benefits of cricket, regardless of background or ability.
