WA Cricket Foundation Runs for a Reason

Over the weekend the WA Cricket Foundation took part in the iconic HBF Run for a Reason 2025.

A team made up of 53 runners, joggers and walkers all donning the Foundation’s signature yellow ran through the streets of Perth, helping to engage our community, raise awareness of the programs we run and how donors are supporting the programs.

With WA Cricket staff, WA Cricket CEO John Stephenson, and Foundation Donors joining together as a team, there were yellow New Balance shirts dotted throughout the sea of people taking part in the event, showcasing the growing reach of the Foundation.

Karlka Nyiyaparli Aboriginal Corporation CEO Cate Ballantyne was one of the Foundation’s team members, travelling down from Newman to be part of the run

We are so grateful to our generous donors, colleagues and supporters who have donated to the Foundation, helping us to deliver social change to those who need it the most

In the lead up to the event, the Foundation hosted a morning breakfast and walk where team members got to know each other whilst hearing the impact of the Foundation’s work.

This year marks the first time the Foundation has had a team in the HBF Run for a Reason as they strive to make it an annual event in the future.
