WA Cricket wishes to congratulate last night’s graduates of the 2022-2023 Emerging Leaders program.
Through WA Cricket Foundation’s Cricket Inspire Program, the workshop looks to provide leadership development opportunities to 16 young women aged 14-17, with various involvement in cricket.
The program runs once a month for six months as it delves into complex leadership topics including emotional intelligence, accountability and decision making.
The focus is also on developing personal and social responsibility, understanding strategies to overcome leadership challenges, and promoting positive social outcomes within community cricket.
Since 2021, the program has successfully developed three cohorts of strong and confident leaders, engaging female youth from across WA to grow through cricket.
Previous participants of the program have been more engaged in WA Community Cricket, as well as using their knew found skills in life beyond cricket, including coaching and employment.
The future looks bright for these successful young leaders!
