Cricket has always been more than a game.
It’s where friendships are formed, confidence grows, and a sense of belonging begins – often right there, on the bench.
As our WA Cricket Foundation Ambassador Mike Hussey shared in his appeal message, “On the bench, waiting to bat or field, friendships were formed, and confidence grew. That’s where the magic started.”
That same spirit lives on today through the programs you have helped make possible.
When we launched our recent Annual Appeal, we invited our community to help us deliver programs that bring people together through cricket – programs that build confidence, foster leadership, and create inclusion for people of all abilities and backgrounds.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Members, past players, and supporters, together we raised an amazing $148,000.
Your generosity helps the WA Cricket Foundation realise its ambition to transform lives and connect communities. These funds will directly support our programs for young women and girls, people with a disability, and Aboriginal communities – building belonging, promoting participation, and creating pathways for everyone to experience the joy of being part of a team.
“I love being part of a team where everyone belongs. Cricket has helped me make friends and believe in myself again.” – Participant, Star Blast Program
To everyone who gave so generously – thank you. You have helped ensure cricket in Western Australia remains a place where everyone is welcome, valued, and inspired to reach their potential.
Together, we are keeping the magic alive – and building a community where cricket connects us all.
